I dwell where sweat begins its journey,
Most often on soles that carry your burden.
A pink-red nodule, small yet bright,
Sometimes bleeding after slight friction or bite.
My cells are uniform, cuboidal and neat,
Linked by bridges, extending from epidermis to deep.
Neither melanoma nor wart am I,
Though clinically mistaken, I often pass by.
Born from the duct of a gland you ignore,
Tell me, dear pathologist, what am I for?
